Tasting Notes
Pale garnet in the glass, this wine bursts with bright red berry aromas layered with warm spice. Notes of red fruit mingle on the nose alongside fresh thyme, a touch of menthol, black peppercorn, and clove. The palate is lively and finely textured, showcasing a juicy core of ripe pomegranate and tangy cranberry, lifted by crunchy red currant and lingonberry. Subtle undertones of clove and allspice frame the fruit, carrying through to a vibrant, lingering finish.

Description
This wine was crafted as a true Field Blend, with the two varieties harvested, crushed, and co-fermented together in a single vessel to preserve the vineyard’s natural harmony. The fruit comes exclusively from the Simmons Family Vineyards, which have been carefully stewarded by three generations since 1963. These vines thrive on the Bluff, a storied site that rises directly across Keuka Lake from our Tasting Room and benefits from the lake’s moderating influence and well-drained soils.
After fermentation, the wine was aged for six months in neutral oak, allowing the vineyard’s character to shine with minimal influence from new wood.
