BILLSBORO WINERY ALBARINO

100% Albariño. The grapes come from Sawmill Creek, a vineyard located in Hector, NY along the southeast corner of Seneca Lake. Its steep-sided, southwest facing slopes are widely recognized as among the best in the Finger Lakes. It is farmed sustainably by the Hazlitt family. Grapes were picked on October 2nd and given 8 hours of skin contact before pressing. Cold settled, racked and fermented at 59F in stainless steel tanks with W15 yeast, then racked on December 22, stabilized and kept in tanks over the winter. Filtered and bottled on March 27th, 2018. 12.9% alcohol. 172 cases produced.
