This is our first Meritage in almost a decade. We only make this high-end blend in exceptional years, when we have an abundance of red wine barrels to choose from. This Meritage is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, which brings dark fruit aromas, structure and ageability; 30% Merlot, adding plum and spice notes; and 20% Cabernet Franc, which brings perfume and softness.

Deep, savory nose with plenty of forest berries, plus some rooty and minty character. Concentrated and structured on the palate with a cool personality, in spite of having quite some body. Restrained power at the stony and savory finish. A cuvée of 50% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot and 20% cabernet franc. Drink or hold.

Aromas and flavors of clay, balsamic drizzled cherries and olives, smoked gherkins and nuts, and tobacco with a supple, vibrant, dryish medium body and an effortless, compelling, medium-long finish revealing accents of blackberries, cedar, dolmades, and mixed nuts with well-integrated, chewy tannins and light oak flavor. A distinctive, savory and inviting red blend with great table appeal.
