KEUKA SPRING CLARA’S RED

Clara’s Red is named for our co-founder’s grandmother, Clara. It’s just the kind of wine that she most enjoyed: sweet, refreshing, juicy, and fun. The key flavor in Clara’s Red comes from Catawba, one of the grapes that is native to North America which we incorporate in our wines. Hardy and vigorous, the Catawba grape is the leading grape for North American wine and juice. It also makes an excellent choice for fresh eating, jellies and jams. The vines produce distinctive bunches of coppery-red grapes from late September to October.

It is grown lovingly by our decades-long friend, Tom Hunt, owner of Joyful Vineyards, just a stone’s throw from our winery.
